The Nobelity Educators Honorarium

The Nobelity Project (nobelity.org), an education nonprofit dedicated to a more peaceful and sustainable world, is pleased to announce The Nobelity Educators Honorarium.

Presented to inspiring teachers who motivate their students to make a positive difference in the world, these awards are open to all educators enrolled in the “Nobelity in Schools” education program, which seeks to engage young people in the issues that will shape their futures. The program is based online at www.nobelity.org/inschools. Teachers who enroll in the program receive a DVD copy of the documentary film, Nobelity, which looks at the world’s most pressing problems through the eyes of Nobel laureates, including Desmond Tutu, Wangari Maathai and others. The website also features additional education materials related to a broad array of global problems and solutions. All materials including the DVD are free of charge to participants.

All teachers and club sponsors in the program are invited to submit an original lesson or activity inspired by Nobelity or the work of the Nobelity Project. Students can also nominate teachers by submitting a project, or written or video essay.

The winning lessons from each region will be featured on the Nobelity In Schools website, and will be available to teachers and students worldwide.
Judging Criteria for the Nobelity in Schools Teacher Awards:
  1. Originality
  2. Ease of implementation by other educators
  3. Connection to the work of The Nobelity Project

Our goal is to educate and to inspire. For the first time in history, humankind has the knowledge and ability to overcome challenges related to health, education and economic disparities, climate change and energy, and cultural and political conflicts. We invite all teachers and students to share their related experiences, resources and inspiration through submissions to this challenge.
